- Module one: Destination Marketing
This comprehensive and intensive Master Class offering a deep dive into the art and science of tourism destination marketing, with a dedicated focus on integrating responsible practices. Tailored for professionals and senior university students, it equips participants to develop innovative, 360° marketing strategies. The curriculum encompasses diverse approaches, including geomarketing, experiential marketing, event marketing, media and advertising, among others, providing a comprehensive toolkit for modern destination marketing.
Participants will gain critical insights into the role of data collection and analysis, enabling them to understand travelers' needs, aspirations, and behaviors based on profiles, generational traits, and destination characteristics. Additionally, the program explores global tourism trends and flows, both inbound and outbound, empowering participants to shape impactful and adaptive strategies. By the end of this Master Class, attendees will possess the expertise to design growth-oriented marketing strategies that generate interest, drive leads and sales, attract footfall, and foster meaningful and ethical engagement. This approach ensures lasting success for tourism destinations while prioritizing responsible development.
Schedule: A total of 12 hours, with 2-hour sessions held once a week, every Tuesday, starting May 20, 2025 at 5:00 PM EEST. For participants unable to join the live sessions, recordings will be available for up to one week after each session.
- Module Two: Digital Tourism Marketing
This exclusive Master Class dives into the latest digital marketing strategies tailored for the tourism industry. Learn how to leverage digital tools, social media, and data-driven insights to promote destinations, enhance visitor engagement, and drive growth in today’s competitive market. Designed for industry professionals, this class offers practical skills and actionable strategies to stay ahead in the rapidly evolving world of digital tourism marketing. Additionally, this master class equips professionals with needed strategies to promote sustainable practices, attract eco-conscious travelers, and build resilient tourism brands.
Schedule: A total of 24 hours, with 2.5-hour sessions held twice a week, every Monday and Wednesday, starting July 7, 2025 at 5.00 pm EEST. For participants unable to join the live sessions, recordings will be available for up to one week after each session.
- Module Three: Online advertising for Tourism
A comprehensive intensive course designed to participants wishing to master digital advertising tools to attract relevant travel audiences. This hands-on program focuses on equipping participants with practical skills in using platforms like Google Ads, Facebook, and Instagram to create impactful, ethical ad campaigns that promote tourism. Participants will explore advanced strategies for targeting, optimizing, and analyzing ad performance while ensuring alignment with sustainable values. The course blends expert-led sessions, real-world exercises, and collaborative projects to empower attendees with actionable strategies for success in the sustainable tourism industry.
Schedule: A total of 24 hours, with 2.5-hour sessions held twice a week, every Monday and Wednesday, starting August 18, 2025, at 5.00 pm EEST. For participants unable to join the live sessions, recordings will be available for up to one week after each session.
Biography of the Master Trainers:
Aoun Abi Aoun is the founder and director of the Global Sustainable Tourism Academy, bringing 26 years of international expertise in destination marketing and sustainable tourism development. A creative master strategist, he has crafted innovative marketing strategies and activations, developed campaigns, produced a travel segment, conceptualized online/TV tourism shows, and led numerous sustainable tourism series. As the founder of Event Guru, a firm specializing in experiential and event marketing, as well as corporate hospitality, Aoun blends his knowledge to create impactful and efficient strategies. He has collaborated with resorts, destinations, green associations, SMEs, municipalities, and multinational companies to create interest, drive footfall, enhance visitor engagement, and boost sales. For this Executive Certificate, Aoun will be delivering the first module on Destination Marketing.
Marc Dfouni is an entrepreneur and digital marketing expert & trainer with over 30 years of experience. He began his career at BlueSponge Montreal, where he tripled revenue in two years and led award-winning multimillion-dollar projects. In 2006, he co-founded Eastline Digital in Lebanon, growing it into a leading agency in the MENA region with 45 employees and $5M in annual revenue. Recognized as an Endeavor High Impact Entrepreneur, Marc has driven digital transformation, expanded e-commerce capabilities, and optimized growth strategies for various companies. In 2014, he founded Eastline Academy, offering Digital Marketing courses in over 10 countries, including Lebanon, Egypt, UAE, KSA, and Europe. Since 2018, his consultancy work has focused on guiding digital transformation, training, and scaling operations. Marc has recently partnered with the Global Sustainable Tourism Academy to develop and deliver exclusive master classes in digital tourism marketing. For this Executive Certificate, Marc will be delivering the second and third modules on Digital Marketing and online advertising.
