“or, when I slept for eighteen days and nights” is an olfactory installation performance by Petra Serhal that revolves around the impact of the political and economic collapse in Lebanon on the functions of the body. The artist takes the audience on a sensorial journey where the sense of smell is the basis for discovering places, situations, feelings, and memories, and where her body is in continuous transformation.

In collaboration with Beirut Art Center and Grasse Perfumery School and the support of J-Med, Culture Recourse, and Beryt.

This performance is based on scents and smelling. Please avoid wearing any perfume.

Wear comfortable clothes with no handbags or backpacks when attending the performance. 

We have designated a secure area for you to store your belongings.

«... أو، حين غفوتُ لثمانية عشر نهاراً وليلاً»، هو عرضٌ تجهيزيٌ ذو علاقة بحاسّة الشمّ لپترا سرحال، يتمحور حول تأثير الانهيار الاقتصادي والسياسي في لبنان على وظائف الجسد. تأخذ الفنانة الجمهور بجولةٍ حسّية، بحيث تكون حاسّة الشمّ الحاسّة الأساسية لاكتشاف أماكن ومواقف وذكريات ومشاعر، وبحيث يكون جسدها في حالة تحوّلٍ مستَمر.
