“If you wish to see me dancing, you ought to visit the passing cloud” is a performance by Petra Serhal, taking place in a post-apocalyptic city soaked in darkness, where remaining artificial eyes stalk, film and expose a wandering woman in the virtual realm. Instagram, as the performance’s platform, is operated as a documentation and navigation space, where the audience follows the gaze of an ‘other’ into the city, the woman, the movement and the space in between.

This project is the second of a series looking at “documentation” versus “live” in performance and the experience and affect that each produces for its audience. The first part of this series was an online lecture performance “Live/laiv/” which was presented during the Redzone Festival 2021; and the third part will be a live installation version of “If you wish to see me dancing, you ought to visit the passing cloud."

إذا أردت أن تراني أرقُص، وَجَبَ الذهابُ إلى الغيمةِ العابرة" هو عرض أدائي لـ پترا سرحال تدور أحداثه في مدينة ما بعد الابوكاليپس (الكارثة) غارقة في الظلام، إذ تُطارد عيونٌ اصطناعيةٌ  امرأة  تجول في المدينة وتصوّرها وتكشفها على العالم الإفتراضي. يُستخدم انستغرام كمنصّة  للعرض وكمكان للتوثيق والتنقل، إذ يتمكن الجمهور من متابعة نظرات "الآخر" للمدينة والمرأة والحركة والفضاء بينهم

يُعدّ هذا المشروع الثاني في سلسلة عروض سرحال، إذ تبحث في "التوثيق"  مقابل "المباشر" في العرض الفني والخبرة والتأثر التي ينتجها كلٌ لجمهوره. كان الجزء الأول من هذه السلسلة عبارة عن محاضرة أدائية  مباشرة على الإنترنت بعنوان "بث مباشر" قُدّمت خلال مهرجان Redzone 2021 ؛ أمّا الجزء الثالث، فسيكون عبارة عن تجهيز كوريغرافي مباشر لـ "إذا أردت أن تراني أرقُص، وَجَبَ الذهابُ إلى الغيمةِ العابرة"
