Barbara Nassar Association, registered under the number 237/239, was founded on 2014 to support Adult Cancer Patients in Lebanon to get their treatments with dignity.

So far, we helped 264 cancer patients to continue their treatment with dignity; we paid the amount of 316,283 USD covering 1,799 bills in 35 hospitals. 

We provided medicine to hundreds of patients in need. The average total amount is approximately 1,229,723 USD in six years. 

So far, Barbara Nassar Association provided financial assistance to 1230 cancer patients worth 1,546,005 USD.

The Cancer Patients’ Needs in Lebanon

So far, Barbara Nassar Association main funds came from local donations and sponsorships of the events organized by the Association.

As it is known, the economic crisis in Lebanon, the quarantine period due to Covid-19, and the repercussions of the Beirut blast don’t allow us to organize fundraising events in our beloved country.

The current situation imposes many burdens on cancer patients. They cannot afford to pay for their treatment anymore. Many of them stopped their treatment. A lot of medications are missing in the Lebanese market.

In addition, there are more than two million refugees in Lebanon who are not covered by any guarantor for cancer treatment.

We can’t stand still.

We also accept donations in kind, like medications, ostomy bags for colorectal and bladder cancer patients. Our patients are washing the bags to reuse it!!
