Hot Pot Meal, which started off as a personal initiative inspired driven by the need to help the vulnerable access hot meals, has served 52,160 hot meals since 2017. Threw consistent on the ground work, the network of support grew, but so did the need to serve more people.

The alarming socio-economic situation, the rising rate of unemployment, inflation, covid-19 restrictions and now, a disaster that has stricken an entire city, a growing number of Lebanese find themselves under the poverty line with no access to quality food. Further, a number of small and artisanal businesses are impacted especially in rural areas.

Today the reliance is on civil society to make a difference and impact.

Through the grant Hot Pot Meal aims to grow the number of hot meals distributed through a network of active social associations as well as support local bakeries in rural areas across various Governates: Sour, Rachaya, Baalbeck and Akkar by buying their produce of bread and distributing those to needy people in vulnerable populations, thus widening the scope of intervention.

The grant would also empower Hot Pot Meal to enhance resource mobilization capacity and organizational development to be able to scale services.
