Beirut was hit by one of the largest man-made disasters of the century as a massive chemical explosion took place in itsport. Hundreds dead and thousands injured.

This adds to the economic collapse that was taking place in the country leaving thousands of people with no shelter, hospitalization or schools to go to. St Porphyrios is an association that has for many years supported the needy in Beirut in healthcare, schooling and food.

The Association is under the patronage of the Beirut Christian Orthodox Archdiocese and is now focusing on the relief effort for the devastated medical and educational institutions that serve more than 30,0000 people per year in Beirut. 

We aim to raise a significant amount for disaster relief and reconstruction.
