A hike not to be missed!

Falougha and Hammana in Baabda District of Mount Lebanon Governorate, The villages are well known for evergreen pine trees, cedar trees cherries and apples. They have multiple water sources found everywhere.

The 19th century French poet, novelist and statesman Alphonse De Lamartine visited Lebanon and spent some time in Hammana. He described the town and its surrounding valley as "one of the most beautiful prospects ever presented to the human eye to scan in the works of God"

EVENT DETAILS:

Our trail will start from the pine forest of Falougha, passes between the lakes and descent into top of a hill to see a panoramic view. We continue our hike passing by Sohat spring water bottling plant (owned by Nestlé) to visit the first Lebanese Flag that was raised in 1943. We will hike through a cedar forest and go to see the Qaysamani dam. From there the trail will be flat until we reach Hammana highlands where we will sit, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee beside a bonfire and watch the amazing sunset from a Panoramic view overlooking Lamartin Valley.

WHAT TO WEAR & BRING:

Wear comfortable clothes and SHOES SUITABLE FOR HIKING.
Bring with you a backpack, cap, sunglasses, sunscreen, headlight and Jacket (It will get cold afternoon).
Water and healthy snacks.
ID or Passport, Insurance Card (If available).
