Ashkal Alwan’s donation page
All donations go towards supporting Ashkal Alwan’s programs.
The Lebanese Association for Plastic Arts, Ashkal Alwan is a non-profit organization founded in Beirut, Lebanon in 1994. Over the past 19 years, the association has been committed to the production, facilitation and circulation of creative and intellectual endeavors across a range of disciplines and media.
Ashkal Alwan is entirely reliant on the generous grants and donations of the individuals and foundations that share our vision. Donations, however big or small, are vital in allowing us to continue the progressive cultural programming that we have been committed to over almost twenty years in Lebanon and elsewhere.
Ashkal Alwan’s programs include:
HWP, Ashkal Alwan’s annual arts study program developed with a view to implementing alternative models of arts education and artistic production. For the 2013-14 edition, participation is open to anybody choosing to participate, without prior selection.
Home Works Forum on Cultural Practices, a multidisciplinary platform launched in 2002 that takes place in different venues throughout Beirut every two to three years. With six editions so far, Home Works Forum brings together artists, writers, intellectuals and collectives to present their work over a 2-week calendar of free public events.
Video Works, a biannual grants and screening program aimed at supporting the development, production and diffusion of new projects by emerging video artists and filmmakers working in Lebanon.
Ashkal Alwan’s programs also include curated projects in Lebanon and abroad, the publication of literary works and artists’ books and artists-in-residency programs.
Thank you for your support.
