HW7 Donation Page - Ashkal Alwan
Initiated in 2002 and taking place every 2 years for a period of 14 days, across different venues in Beirut, Home Works: A Forum on Cultural Practices aims to present to a local and international audience a full iteration of performances, exhibitions, lectures, panels, screenings and publications put together and prompted by the necessity to gather and discuss a common set of urgent, timely questions.
Now in its seventh edition, Home Works 7 is curated by Frie Leysen (Belgium), Bassam El Baroni (Egypt) and Christine Tohme (Lebanon). It will feature 12 performances, an exhibition titled What Hope Looks Like After Hope (On Constructive Alienation) buttressed by a series of artists talk, an exhibition titled On Water, Rosemary, and Mercury, 4 artist projects, 23 talks, panels and lecture-performances, as well as 4 new publications and 12 film screenings.
It is essential for Ashkal Alwan to keep all events during Home Works 7 free of charge and accessible to all members of the public. As a non-profit association, we rely on the generosity of individuals for the sustainability of our events.
When you donate online you will receive an Ashkal Alwan tote bag filled with publications, books and a guest-kit which you can pick up from our information desk at the Ashkal Alwan building. A sum of $100 is suggested as a donation upon registration, although we always appreciate any sum, big or small. Donations (of any amount) are vital in allowing us to continue the progressive cultural programming that we have been committed to over almost twenty years in Lebanon and elsewhere.
We are very thankful for your support.
