LIBRO Mission
We need to reduce un-employment in the MENA region and push our local & regional companies to go to international scale? Than we need to adapt quickly and efficiently to the recent market changes.
According to the Future of Jobs report 2018 published by the World Economic Forum, 75 million jobs will start disappearing by 2022 and 133 million jobs will be emerging from now onwards. The new jobs will be mainly focused on technology and people skills.
Is our universities’ curriculum enough to bridge this gap? Definitely not! And not only in the MENA region but worldwide. According to the same report, everyone will need an extra 101 days of learning by 2022 to cope with those new advancements.
As for the companies, 53% is the average reskilling needed for the workforce, which means huge responsibility falls on the management to sustain and grow their shares in the market.
LIBRO, through its commitment to turn youth challenges into opportunities, decided to work closely with universities and companies, in collaboration a pool of brilliant regional & internationals experts, to support STEAM workforce in the MENA region and help them succeed and grow in different industries.

We believe in collaboration and not competition. Our numerous regional challenges require from us perseverance and collective work to drive positive impact on our societies. Our youth deserve a chance and we are committed to do our best to help them walk the career path that fits their potentials and aspirations.
Therefore, we have partnered till now with more than five organizations working on women and youth empowerment especially in STEAM field like Global Shapers community, Techwomen, Facebook Developers Circle, LLWB…with whom we organize free access events on regular basis to make sure we are serving as much youth as possible which having diversity and inclusion as keys values throughout this process.
Supporting in Advancing UN SDGs
We have SDG 4 “Quality Education” & SDG 8 “Decent Work & Economic Growth” as part of our DNA. Nevertheless, we organize regular networking activities and free events for women in steam field since we believe that by implementing SDG 5 “Gender Equality”, the whole economic and social situation in our countries will improve. Adding that our founder is one of the biggest advocates for gender equality in the workforce and has been involved in many activities to work on amendments in the Lebanese labour law that will help in reducing discrimination against women in working environments.
