في العصر الفاطمي ينهض أمير طرابلس "فخر الملك"، لحماية شعبه من حية ضخمة يشاع أنها تهاجمهم، فيكشف له نهر قاديشا أنها إنسانة مسحورة. يضع الاجتياح الإفرنجي للبلاد فخر الملك ويوليا أمام امتحان صعب، فهل ستكون النهاية في صالحهما؟ أم أن عوامل أخرى ستتدخل؟
عرض مسرحي لخيال الظل، لأسطورة من التراث الشعبي الطرابلسي، طورها المؤلف ودمجها بقالب تاريخي يحاكي واقعنا المعاصر.

"The Snake of the Abu Ali River"
In Fatimid-era Tripoli, Emir FakhrelMulk sets out to protect his people from a giant snake said to be attacking them. The Qadisha River reveals to him that the serpent is an enchanted woman. When the Crusaders invade the land, Iulia and FakhrelMulk are put to a tough test. Will it end in their favor? Or will other forces intervene?
A theatrical shadow-puppetry performance based on a Tripolitan folk legend, reimagined and developed into a historical framework that mirrors our contemporary reality.
