The Earlier You Know, The More You Can Do
The Alzheimer’s Walk: September 20 is a community event dedicated to raising awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, promoting the importance of early diagnosis, and showing support for individuals, families, and caregivers affected by the condition.
The event is organized by IDRAAC, in partnership with the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Alzheimer Association in Lebanon, MIND Clinics, and Minerva Adult Care Center, and will take place at Waterfront Beirut from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
Under the message “The Earlier You Know, The More You Can Do.” the event will bring together families, healthcare professionals, organizations, advocates, and members of the community for a meaningful walk of awareness and solidarity. Alongside the walk, participating organizations will host booths where attendees can learn about available services, resources, and support, while professionals will share important information about Alzheimer’s, its impact, and the value of early assessment.
More than a walk, the event is an opportunity to connect, learn, share experiences, and stand together with people affected by Alzheimer’s. Through education, community participation, and personal stories, the Alzheimer’s Walk aims to encourage greater understanding and remind families that meaningful support can make a difference at every stage of the journey.
