HERE & ELSEWHERE هُنا و هُنالِكَ FILM FESTIVAL
HERE & ELSEWHERE هُنا و هُنالِكَ FILM FESTIVAL
Come discover short-films celebrating SWANA (Southwest Asian and North African) voices and realities at the Beirut Art Center!
Here & Elsewhere | هُنا وهُنالِك is a 3-day Film Festival showcasing films that move beyond tired narratives of despair or stereotypes to reveal a richer, truer portrait of our region. We celebrate beauty, joy, and the resilience found in resistance!
Join us for our second edition and experience powerful cinema, filmmaker Q&As, artist talks, networking events, and a community brought together through film.
Program:
Doors open daily at 5:00 PM and screenings run until 9:00 PM.
Selected local directors will join the audience for a Q&A following the screening.
In addition to the daily screenings, each day features a unique event:
- Day 1: Opening Ceremony & Community Dinner by Nation Station
- Day 2: Post-screening social event
- Day 3: Keynote with Maher Kouraytem & Cindy Chehab / Filmmemory Program
Tickets:
Every ticket directly supports SWANA communities and filmmakers.
We are 100% not for profit, entirely run by volunteers.
