Join us for an intensive performance workshop for beginners and those interested in acting, physical theatre, and contemporary dance.

Across 6 sessions, participants will explore exercises designed to activate the body and voice alongside writing exercises, while engaging with performance, stage presence, imagination, and collaborative experimentation.

Participants will also collectively develop a performative scene using materials created through movement, writing, and improvisation.

📍Instructor: Yara El Khoury

Yara is a theatre maker and poet whose practice spans physical theatre and contemporary dance. Her directing work includes "Alone We Walk Under the Sun", and she also organizes Madar Festival for theatre and contemporary dance while collaborating with cultural organizations as a facilitator.

انضمّوا إلينا في ورشة مكثفة في الأداء المسرحي للمبتدئين والمهتمين بالتمثيل، المسرح الحركي والرقص المعاصر.

خلال ٦ جلسات، سيختبر المشاركون تمارين لتحفيز وتجهيز الجسد والصوت، إلى جانب تمارين في الكتابة، بهدف استكشاف مبادئ الأداء والحضور المسرحي، وتحفيز الخيال، وتطوير مهارات الإصغاء والتواصل ضمن مساحة جماعية للتجريب والبحث.

سيعمل المشاركون أيضًا على تطوير مشهدية جماعية تنطلق من المواد التي سيتم خلقها خلال التمارين والارتجالات.

📍المدرّبة: يارا الخوري

هي صانعة مسرح وشاعرة، طورت ممارستها في المسرح الحركي والرقص المعاصر، وعملت مع العديد من الفنانين المحليين والدوليين. تشمل أعمالها الإخراجية "وحدنا تحت الشمس نمشي"، كما تنظم مهرجان مدار للمسرح والرقص المعاصر وتتعاون مع منظمات ثقافية كميسّرة.
