The Here & Elsewhere | ‏هُنا وهُنالِك Short Film Festival is a 3-day fundraising event. Championing voices from Palestine and beyond, with a focus on communities facing systemic marginalization worldwide.

Celebrating beauty, joy, and the resilience found in resistance, our films move beyond tired narratives of despair or stereotypes to reveal a richer, truer portrait of our region.

Our "First Edition Focus":

All the way from Canada, Palestinian diaspora filmmaker Fateema Al-Hamaydeh Miller joins us in person to screen her award-winning short Mawtini and present a special preview of her debut feature Amwaj. Half of all festival proceeds will directly support the making of this powerful film.

Program:

Doors open daily at 6 PM and close at 9 PM.

Every night: Curated short film screenings, with local directors introducing their films and joining a live Q&A.

Special daily add-ons:

• Day 1: Opening ceremony dinner

• Day 2: Panel discussion with special guests

• Day 3: Industry Networking Mixer + Afterparty (location TBA)

Students – $5

General Admission – $10

3-Day Pass – $25 (save $5 and experience every screening & event)

We are 100% Non-Profit:

All ticket revenue supports: The Gaza Skate Team and and the debut feature Amwaj, an exploration of Palestinian identity in the diaspora.

Accessibility Matters:

In partnership with Ahla Fawda, we’re offering 15 free tickets per day to passionate community members who might otherwise miss out; because art belongs to everyone.
