Nadi Lekol Nas and the Sursock Museum will be presenting the film The Veiled Man on Friday 15 December from 18:00 to 21:00 by Lebanese filmmaker Maroun Baghdadi.

Returning home after spending four years in Lebanon, a doctor agrees to kill those responsible for a massacre, one of whom is the lover of his daughter.
Maroun Baghdadi (b.1950 - d.1993) was one of the best-known Lebanese filmmakers of his generation. He first studied law and political science at Saint Joseph University in Beirut and at the Sorbonne University in Paris. Afterward, he studied cinema at the Institute for High Film Studies in Paris. He returned to Lebanon in 1973 where he produced many short documentary films offering a record of the Civil War. In 1991, he won a Jury Prize at the Cannes International Film Festival for Out of Life.
