To welcome a greener year, the Beirut Marathon is organizing a challenge to promote Sports Tourism in Lebanon through exploring its different regions while doing a fun and healthy activity.
HOW TO DO IT ONCE YOU REGISTER (In Lebanon);
Step 1; Create an account on a tracking app of your choice (NRC, Strava, RaceMate etc ...)
Step 2; Run / Swim / Walk / Hike / Bike or/and Trail Run in 6 regions in Lebanon of your choice (you can do one activity per month of your choice)
Step 3; Make sure you are tracking them on your app
Step 4; Once you complete the 6 regions, email us the screenshots for proof of completion
Step 5; Share with us regularly pictures and videos via email of your activities as we want to produce a documentary at the end of the challenge (Please ensure they are high resolution)
Step 6; Registration closes end of October
Step 7; We will advise you of the date & time of the plantation project in a natural reserve where we will also distribute your amazing medals.
Step 8; Share the challenge with your family, friends and colleagues and get them to register and stay active, all the while helping us with our environmental mission
Step 9; In case the distance is too long for you, you can always split it with another team member (each one will do 10.1 KM) & you combine them together to complete 20.23 KM

Step 2; Run / Swim / Walk / Hike / Bike or/and Trail Run ONE Activity Per month for 6 months
Step 3; Make sure you are tracking them on your app
Step 4; Once you complete the 6 activities, email us the screenshots for proof of completion
Step 5; Share with us regularly pictures and videos via email of your activities as we want to produce a documentary at the end of the challenge (Please ensure they are high resolution)
Step 6; Registration closes end of October
Step 7; We will advise you of the date & time of the plantation project in a natural reserve where we will also distribute your amazing medals. If you cannot be present with us, then your Medal will be shipped to you by DHL.
Step 8; Share the challenge with your family, friends and colleagues and get them to register and stay active, all the while helping us with our environmental mission
Step 9; In case the distance is too long for you, you can always split it with another team member (each one will do 10.1 KM) & you combine them together to complete 20.23 KM
It will be open virtually for all international runners where they can participate and support this initiative.
The medal will be a gold map of Lebanon with an engraved cedar, symbolizing the planting of the trees on Lebanese soil.
Upon the completion of the challenge; we will hold a ceremony in a natural reserve, whereby we will plant Cedar Trees in a small BMA-dedicated forest.
Every year, we will work towards growing this forest through such initiatives with the hope of turning our running community green.
Registration opens from April until October 2023.
