INVICTVS
INVICTVS
"INVICTVS" marks the first KIMAERA appearance since the beginning of the pandemic, the unfortunate passing of JP and the release of "IMPERIVM". It is considered as the band's powerful comeback event after 3 years of hiatus.
Event lineup:
Kimaera: the Arab world’s trailblazing symphonic oriental death metal band, hailing from Lebanon in the heart of the Middle East. Atmospheric death/doom with a progressive touch collides with traditional Middle Eastern and orchestral instruments to produce a complex dark sound with a cross-generic flair. Their transcending of musical boundaries is inspired by Epica’s melodies, Dimmu Borgir’s black symphonies, Behemoth’s aggression, Katatonia’s darkness and Middle Eastern oriental music.
Nocturna: one of the oldest active metal bands, formed in 2006. Their style is best described as Melodic Death Metal. Nocturna recorded their album "The Gates of Peirah" back in 2014 but was not released until 2019 due to a series of unfortunate events.
Since then, they have released 3 singles and a cover of Kimaera's "The Day Innocence Died", as a tribute to JP. The band is currently working on their second album.
Prominentia: Prominentia formed in late 2019 and released their debut album titled "Descendence" in 2022, and are currently undergoing a major musical shift, and will be playing new unreleased songs along with tracks from the album that the local scene enjoyed the most. The band is best described as having a melodeath basis and expands upon it with other sub-genres of metal.
Borrowed Time: Borrowed Time was formed in 2020 and released their debut ep in December 2021 and are currently working on their first full length album, they will be playing singles from the new album in the concert. They are well known for their modern Djenty sound, heavy breakdowns and focus on electronic elements and sounds.
