The Chain Effect is supporting Beb w' Shebbek in its reconstruction efforts to homes damaged in the August 4th Beirut Blast.

We are selling all remaining cycle themed socks and tote bags from the Bike to Work campaign. The socks and tote bags are unique, designed and made in Lebanon, and 100% of the proceeds will go to Beb w' Shebbek to support their great relentless work. Several of our team members assisted Beb w' Shebbek on the ground, and we trust that the funds will be used ethically and responsibly and support those most in need. Winter is around the corner, and much is left to do to rebuild homes and keep people safe.

These socks and tote bags make great gifts too, and we encourage you to donate more than their modest price if you are able to :). By contributing to this campaign you are also supporting the work of local designers and manufacturers, in addition to helping victims of the blast.

Bebw’shebbek’s mission is to replace the doors and windows of the destroyed homes, bringing them back — as closely as possible — to how they looked before the explosion. With the help of architects, carpenters, contractors, glaziers and painters, their objective is to get as many people back into their homes as quickly and safely as possible. Crucially, they act as a lifeline for some of the most vulnerable victims who’d otherwise be unable to afford the cost of repairing their own homes.
