In Honor of Sara's legacy “ Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional “ join us on November 9 to run at the Beirut Marathon in tribute to our angel Sara Khatib.

This year’s theme is Peace and Love and we would like to remember on this occasion the warmth and motivating spirit that Sara instilled in us.

Friends of Sara Khatib

Sara Khatib is a 22-year-old pharmacy student who has recently passed away after battling with cancer. She amazed people around her with her resilience, love of life and courage. Sara inspired the world by making an appearance on social media as a TEDxLAU speaker at this year's August Time Capsule event.

Through her struggle Sara wanted to share 4 life lessons that anyone going through hardship in their life could apply:

1- Sometimes Giving up is the only way to survive

2- Don’t let your obstacles define you.

3- Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional.

4- Do not postpone your dreams.

She showed the world that it is not our circumstances that define us but how we choose to see them and deal with them that will layout our path.
