Dear Wild Explorers,
Barouk River digs a wonderful valley in Shouf District and passes near many villages like Botmeh and Jdeideh before reaching Marj Besri where its name becomes "Awali River".
EVENT DETAILS:
Our hike for Sunday March 8 will be around this valley starting from Botmeh, walking toward this village to step down reaching an amazing historical water channel built on the 18th century by "Bachir Jounblat" to deliver fresh water to his castle in Mokhtara. We will walk more than an hour on a narrow path beside this channel before reaching to the river where we will get a short break, then we will cross the river using a small beautiful wooden bridge and walk down on the riverbank to reach Jdeidet El Shouf where we finish our hiking trip.

WHAT TO WEAR & BRING:
Wear comfortable clothes and SHOES SUITABLE FOR HIKING.
Bring with you a backpack, cap, jacket and preferably a Hiking Stick.
Water and healthy snacks.
ID or Passport, Insurance Card (If available).
