Participants must ensure their own transportation from Beirut to Tannourine (possibility of carpooling; 4x4 cars recommended)

EQUIPMENT:

Every participant is responsible for the rental, pick-up, and return, of his/her own snowshoes or backcountry skis

PROGRAM:

Sunday, January 12th

8:00 AM Meeting at Tannourine Main Square - Next to church

8:15 AM Arrival to starting point and equipment preparation

8:30 AM Snowshoeing and back-country skiing

3:30 PM End of snowshoeing and back-country skiing

TRAIL DESCRIPTION:

TRAIL LENGTH AND TYPE IS PRONE TO CHANGE &/or MODIFICATION BASED ON WEATHER & SNOW COVER CONDITIONS

Distance ~ 11 km; Elevation Gain ~ 800 m

WHAT TO BRING?

• Windbreaker / Gore-tex Jacket
• Waterproof / Gore-tex trousers
• Waterproof Hiking Shoes
• Hiking Poles
• 15 to 20 L backpack
• Sunglasses
• Sunscreen
• Hat, buff, beanie
• Water flask 1.5 L minimum
• Snacks
• First aid kit
• Survival blanket
• Headlamp
• Camping mug
• Extra clothes (including socks)
• Helmet for ski is mandatory
