Outline
Projects are vehicles for change. Organizations and individuals use projects as tools or means o achieve their strategic business and non-business objectives more efficiently. Striving in the market places forces businesses and organizations to change continuously, developing new products or services, updating existing products or services, launching new markets and new locations, elevating talent and expertise, and others.  Projects help us make desired changes in an organized manner and with reduced probability of failure.  

Objectives
By the end of the workshop, the audience should be able to :
- Understand and define projects, and their main elements
- Understand how projects can be aligned to strategic business objectives. Understand differences between portfolios, programs, and projects. 
- Discover and understand major project knowledge areas.
- Define major projects phases and the critical issues to address in each phase.
- Define Quality, Risk, Procurement , Cost, HR, Resources, and other major project tools and factors required for project success.

Information about the trainer 
Mahmoud Damergi is a Founder, Co-Owner and Lead Architect at
LEADMARK Engineering, & a Professional Project Manager holding more than 18 years of experience in managing projects within the built environment and construction industries. Before establishing his own company, Mahmoud has been involved in leading large construction and development projects in the MENA region, with focus on strategic project management, construction management, contract and cost management, engineering & design management, and strategic facility planning and management.
Mahmoud is currently leading LEADMARK, a Design / Build and Management service company, working on several active design, management, and construction projects in Lebanon, UAE, KSA,
Congo (DRC), Central Africa and other countries, covering a wide scope of services and project types.
Before stablishing LEDMARK, Mahmoud acted as a Third Party Project Manager and project management advisor for Schlumberger Oil Service Company.  Mahmoud worked as project manager on several construction, energy, and infrastructure
projects in Iraq, UAE, Djibouti, & Lebanon, for major international clients.

Mahmoud hold a Master’s Degree in Architectural & Design Management from the IE School in Madrid (2014), A Bachelor Degree in Architecture from Beirut Arab University (2000), and is a Certified Project Manager from the PMI Institute (2012).
