For the 12th consecutive year, the Association du PolyLiban is organizing the
"Polyathlon des Cèdres" and PolyLiban "THE Wild Route" 2019.

Poly-athletes wishing to participate in Polyathlon and/or PolyLiban are requested to download and read the full event guide which includes all details, safety measures, equipment checklist and important reminders before they register.

POLYATHLON DES CÈDRES

September 27 to 29, 2019

The "Polyathlon des Cèdres" is the highest multi-sports event in Lebanon and the Middle East. This non-competitive and adventurous challenge aims at expanding personal limits and promoting rural tourism to discover Lebanon in a responsible way. This 12th edition of the Polyathlon will link Byblos coast to Qornet El Sawda (3088 m highest peak in Lebanon and the Near East). The challenge consists of 5 sports activities to be completed in less than 24 hours, all activities are MANDATORY except for the swimming stage (Optional): Sea Rafting 3 km, Sea Swimming 2 km, Cycling 95 km / +3,500 m elevation gain, Archery & Trekking 24 km.

4:00 pm Arrival to Plage Des Rois resort in Byblos, check-in procedure

6:00 pm Equipment and bicycles check-up

7:30 pm Opening ceremony and pasta party

9:30 pm Stages briefing and safety measures

Saturday, September 28th, 2019

3:00 am Wake up and packing

3:30 am Breakfast and bags transfer

4:00 am Rafting stage (MANDATORY) 3 km

5:30 am Swimming stage (Optional) 2 km

6:30 am Bikes preparation

7:00 am Cycling stage 95 km / +3500 m

Group A: 95 km, Arrival before 3:30 pm to Lebanese Army Ski School in Bcharreh Cedars, trekking to Qornet el Sawda starts at 4:30 pm

Group B: 95 km, Arrival between 4:00 and 6:00 pm to Lebanese Army Ski School in Bcharreh Cedars

Group C: 68 km / +2400 m, Arrival to Tannourine El Fawka after 1:30 pm, bus transfer to Bcharreh Cedars

8:00 pm Dinner in Lebanese Army Ski School for group B & C

9:00 pm Dinner in Qornet El Sawda camp for group A

Sunday, September 29th, 2019

3:00 am Wake-up for Group B & C

3:30 am Trekking to Qornet El Sawda

8:00 am Arrival to Qornet El Sawda (Group photo)

8:30 am Trekking to Ouyoun Orghosh mountain pass

11:30 am Arrival to Ouyoun Orghosh mountain pass and bus transfer to Lebanese Army Ski School

12:30 pm Packing of bags and bikes transfer to trucks

1:00 pm Bus transfer to Byblos (only Polyathlon participants)

2:00 pm Lunch (PolyLiban participants)

3:00 pm Arrival to Byblos (only Polyathlon participants)

PolyLiban "THE WILD ROUTE", September 30th to October 3rd 2019

The Polyathlon Des Cèdres will be followed by a 4-day special tour and will take us into a magnificent and unforgettable 4-days journey to discover Mount Lebanon, starting in Arez all the way to Ain Trez, crossing Lebanon's most beautiful mountains, valleys, plains, and hills, passing by more than 100 villages and towns. PolyLiban's "The Wild Route" consists of 310 km with +8,500 m elevation gain!

Polyliban "The Wild Route" is independent of the Polyathlon Des Cèdres and will have its own Ihjoz event.

Registration procedure:

1. All participants should register and pay for the Polyathlon des Cèdres on IHJOZ before Wednesday, September 18, 2019.
2. Pay online using a Credit Card (Visa, Master, or American Express).
3. Or pay IN CASH within 24 hours after you complete the online registration at any branch of Maliks, or Liban Post.
4. After September 18th, registration WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
5. Who can participate in the Polyathlon & PolyLiban?
   - Anyone over 18 years old in good health with no heart or respiratory problems.
6. The info meeting (MANDATORY for all participants in Polyathlon & PolyLiban), will be held on Monday September 2nd, 2019 @ 7:30 pm in AUST Achrafieh.
7. To confirm your registration ALL PARTICIPANTS should bring the following documents to the info meeting:
   - Copy of your ID (or a copy of your passport)
   - Copy of your medical insurance (MANDATORY)

Participants who do not provide a copy of their ID or Passport will NOT BE ALLOWED to sleep in the Lebanese Army Ski School in Bcharreh Cedars or to participate in the PolyLiban Tour even if they registered online and paid the fees.

Free Bike & Helmet Rental:

Free bikes and helmet rental from CycloSport - (mountain bikes) - 

• Please show your IHJOZ ticket
• A deposit of LBP 50,000 is required with a copy of your ID.
• Picking up the Bike & Helmet and returning them to CycloSport is the responsibility of each participant.

Polyathlon des Cèdres: 60 000 LBP (or 40$)

PolyLiban "THE WILD ROUTE": 180 000 LBP (or 120$)

A special edition CYCLING JERSEY will be available:

60 000 LBP (or 40$)

*Fees include all accommodation, refueling, escorting, bags transportation and transfer, and all meals.

*The Polyathlon & PolyLiban are not for profit events, the symbolic fees cover part of the cost. Any additional donation for the Association is welcomed.
