Hike4AD:  Are you willing to climb the highest summit in Lebanon and the Near East?

Join us on the 31 of August for a new challenge, all of us will reach the summit and raise the Lebanese Flag!

Destination:

Qornet el Sawda is the highest peak in Lebanon and the Near East, located at an altitude of 3,088 m above sea level. It is called al-Sawda, the Black, because when it rises above the clouds the snows appears strangely dark.

Details

We will start our hike from “Dahr el Adeeb”, and start our hike, the path is exposed to sunlight and there are no trees to cover us so you surely need to use sun protection and wear hiking hates.

Date: Saturday, Aug 31, 2019

Meeting Time and Point: 8:00 AM, Jal el Dib highway parking before DHL. We will pick you up on the way.

PS: Parking tickets (3000LL per car no included in event cost)

Back to meeting point: 7:00PM+
Hike trail: Difficult, around 20KM – 6 hours +
PS: can be assisted by pick-up in case needed

Price: Participation of 50000LBP per person including transportation, rescue Pick-up
(Personal insurance and evening dinner are not covered).

NB: Minimum participant to run the event is 12.

What to Get:  some light snacks that will boost up your energy during the hike. Pack your backpacks with lunch box, water, cap, sunglasses and sunscreen. Do not forget to get a jacket is needed at the top of the summit. Wear comfortable walking shoes, preferably hiking shoes.
