ABOUT THE TOUR:

The tour will occur in an architectural building called Stone Garden built by the organizer, Lina Ghotmeh. She will talk about the creative process, the concept, the atmosphere and the aura of the building. The tour will take place across the entire structure and its surroundings, where participants will get the chance to take in the whole breadth of the project.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZER:

Lina Ghotmeh is the Founder Architect of Lina Ghotmeh — Architecture, an international architecture practice regrouping 25 architects, designers, and researchers based in Paris. Innovative, Lina Ghotmeh’s works deploy themselves at multiple scales and geographies — from object design to museums architecture, in France and abroad. As an Archeology of the Future, each project relates to its site’s past and emerges as a dialogue material, stimulating our memory and senses.

Renowned for the Estonian National Museum’s architecture (Grand Prix Afex 2016, nominated at the Mis Van Der Rohe Award 2017), Lina Ghotmeh has recently completed “Les Grands Verres”, the restaurant of the Palais de Tokyo. Her tower project “Stone Garden”, an urban sculpture is being completed in Beirut, and the innovative wooden tower project “Réalimenter Masséna” is currently ongoing in Paris. She was awarded the European 40/40 Award 2018, the DEJEAN Award 2016 form the French Academy, the AJAP Award granted by the French Ministry of culture and the 2A Awards 2018 in Barcelona. She was also selected by Dezeen as one of the “5 Biggest Talents of 2018” and has been nominated in London for the Women in Architecture Mira Gemmill Award 2019.
