Course Description:
Building Information Modeling (BIM) has been attracting a lot of attention in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry lately. Governments have been mandating it across their public projects and the private sector is quickly catching up. In a couple of years, BIM will be a requirement to most medium to large scale projects.
In this course we will explain briefly the main concept of BIM workflow, using a demo to present the 3D, 4D, 5D and 6D workflow and how it works. In addition to that, this course will help you to prepare the permit file for your project in the highest efficient way with most time saving.
Because of managing project using BIM, and preparing permit file using revit, recommends essential knowledge of all AEC parties (AR, ST & MEP), this course is recommended for you, before going with advanced courses for each firm.
Overview:
This course will cover the following topics:
▪ Introduction to BIM workflow, 3D, LOD, 4D, 5D & Clash Detection
▪ 3D Revit modeling of main structural elements: Foundation, columns, slabs, stairs, beams, walls, roofs, and introduction to 3D reinforcement.
▪ 3D Revit modeling of main architectural elements: Walls, slabs, windows, doors, roofs, stairs, ramps, materials, render
▪ Levels and Grids
▪ Sections & views
▪ Schedules
▪ Sheets
▪ Annotation
Note: the above topics will be covered during the work on our project
