SINCE THE WEATHER IS CONSTANTLY CHANGING, WE HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO ADAPT THE EVENT SCHEDULE, FOR SAFETY REASONS

PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGES IN THE FOLLOWING SECTIONS:

PROGRAM:

• 7:00 am: meeting at: Highway – Nahr Ibrahim - Qartaba intersection, from where we will all drive up to Aaqoura

• 7:15 am: departure to Aaqoura (by own cars, a possibility of carpooling)  -- 4x4's recommended

• 8:15 am: arrival to starting point and preparation of skis and snowshoes

• 8:30 am: roundtrip snowshoeing and backcountry skiing

• 02:00 pm: end of the hike

TRAIL DESCRIPTION:

(The trail length may vary according to snow cover and conditions)

EQUIPMENT RENTAL:

Every participant is responsible for the rental, pick-up, and return, of their own equipment

MEETING POINT:

DUE TO CURRENT WEATHER CONDITIONS, AS WELL AS ROAD CONDITIONS, IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO COME IN A 4X4.

>>> If you have your own equipment, you can meet us straight in Aaqoura at 8:00 am.

>>> If you are renting from Maison du Ski, the meeting point is at MdS in Feytroun at 7:00 am.

>>> Meeting point 7:00 am: Intersection of Main Highway and road that leads to Aaqoura through Nahr Ibrahim and Qartaba.

WHAT TO BRING?

• Bring your own food and snacks
• Waterproof Hiking Shoes!!!
• Hiking Poles
• 15 to 30L back pack
• Sunglasses
• Windbreaker / Gore tex Jacket
• Waterproof / Gore tex trousers
• Hat/Buff, Sunscreen, Water flask 1.5L minimum, Beanie, Extra clothes (including socks).

Registration is available on Ihjoz. Please make sure to register by Friday, January 11th, 2019.
