Dear Wild Explorers,
Horsh Ehden is a Nature Reserve located in North Lebanon, ranging in altitude from 1200m to 2000m. It contains a particularly diverse and beautiful remnant forest of the cedar of Lebanon, making the reserve a very important part of the country’s cultural and natural heritage.
Fall is the most temperate and enjoyable season for hikers who love soaking up nature’s many colors. October is the best month to enjoy autumnal colors.

- Hiking Horsh Ehden:
Our Hike will start at an altitude of 1100m to reach an altitude of 1400m. We will take the footpath which leads to the upper reaches of the reserve where we can admire the breathtaking scenery and spectacular views.

Duration: 3.5 hrs
Distance: 10 km
- Monastery of Qozhaya:
The Monastery of Saint Anthony the Great is situated at a height of 950 meters above sea level in the celebrated Valley of Qozhaya, "The Living Treasure". The pine and oak trees cover the great hills surrounding it all along the valley which extends into the Valley of Qannubin to form the great Qadisha Valley, this Monastery was first built at the beginning of the fourth century.
What to see in Qozhaya:
a) The Monastery
b) The Church
c) The Museum
d) The Cave
The Cave of Qozhaya, which burrows into the mountainside, is supposed to extend to Ehden. It is a popular place for miracles. It is famous throughout Lebanon and the Middle East for the miraculous cures which have taken place in it.
- Bnachii Lake:
After the hike and the monastery we will head to Zgharta district to have our last stop at the Lake of Bnachii. There, you can have lunch, several restaurants and snacks are available, dazzling with the charm of the lake, delighting the paddle boats and surfing between ducks and geese.

Wear comfortable clothes and SHOES SUITABLE FOR HIKING.
Bring with you a backpack, cap, sunglasses, Jacket.
Water and healthy snacks.
ID or Passport, Insurance Card (If available).
