The Fairshare Lunch is a speculative design tool that forces participants to experience the act of making food choices in a future where environmental impact is a currency. This is facilitated by a currency that represents an individual’s fair share of the global resources and acceptable impact on the biosphere. Which is used to make food choices, allowing participants to feel the environmental weight of their choices. Food is served with stories about the hidden factors that go into the environmental impact of our food combined with discussion and collective learning over the shared experience of eating together. So what if we were empowered to make choices with the right information at hand to understand the impact of what we choose?

Kalei's Menu will be split into Starters, Mains, and Dessert representing each Water, Air, and Soil. 

Participants who wish to pay at the door must register by sending an email to tatiana@menadrc.org before Wednesday noon.

Participants pay upfront in order to not put money as a factor in making their choice.
