Description

Hike4AD: Hike for a cause is organizing a hike to support DiaLeb,

We will have the opportunity to explore the beautiful Horsh Ehden Reserve.

The National Diabetes Organization, DiaLeb is a non-for-profit organization founded in 2011 which aims to promote diabetes care and prevention and support research in search for a cure. To do so, DiaLeb works to promote healthy lifestyles and spread awareness about diabetes in order to make living with the disease more manageable for all those affected and their families.

Destination: Ehden forest (Horsh Ehden) is one of the most diversified ecosystems of Lebanon.

The Reserve is rich in biodiversity. Over 1,058 plant species have so far been recorded in the reserve, accounting for nearly 40% of the plant species in Lebanon. This is impressive, considering that the reserve represents less than 0.1% of the total area of Lebanon.
