The comics workshop is broken into two parts: Design Your Character, and Digital Storytelling.

The first workshop is for beginners who would like to learn Adobe Illustrator; or people who want to learn how to trace their sketches into digital form. Discover illustrator tools and features to create and draw your own character while exploring the creative process behind creating rich and relatable characters.

The second workshop is a technical workshop you will learn the steps behind creating a comic from ideation to drawing, focusing on the layout and analysing storytelling techniques while discovering Instagram as a storytelling medium. We will also explore the different types of comics out there, learning along the way how to create build up, cliffhangers, humour etc.

For those who attended the character design workshop, we will be using your character to create a story around it.
