In this session, we will cover some Cloud basics, FOG computing and shed some light on its applications in Manufacturing and Retail industries by using IoT and wireless cloud services.
Cloud computing is the delivery of computing services—servers, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics and more—over the Internet (“the cloud”). Companies offering these computing services are called cloud providers and typically charge for cloud computing services based on usage.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Nabil is the North America Sales leader for several large Japanese global customers at Cisco. Nabil is responsible for all of sales relationships between major Asian customers and Cisco. Nabil joined Cisco in 2007. He is responsible for more than $90M in annual sales and has been successfully exceeding his sales quotas since 2007. He won several sales awards and recognitions during his tenure at Cisco.
Nabil brings over 20 years of experience in the IT/IoT industry. He graduated from the Lebanese University faculty of Engineering (Tripoli Branch) in 1991. He then won the Japanese Education’s Scholarship to pursue his Master and Doctorate degrees in Opto Electronics. He is the author of multiple IEEE and Journal of Light wave international papers. After completing his Ph.D. He worked in Hitachi’s Central Research Lab and co-authored multiple patents on WCDMA.
Nabil speaks four languages fluently – English, French, Arabic and Japanese. He lives in California with his wife and two children.
