Activity Green kids family Environment Plants

Nowadays, "Green' is no longer a luxury, but a necessity.

That's why we invite YOU, your FAMILY and FRIENDS to get into the green scene with "I Green Beirut", an initiative created by JCI Beirut in partnership with UNIC Beirut (United Nations Information Centre in Beirut) & under the patronage of the Municipality of Beirut.

Whether your aim is to create green, have fun & learn, or even enjoy dancing under the sun, we are here for you.

The day will feature a set of DIY planting workshops by nature expert Marc Beyrouthy & his team (Nature by Marc Beyrouthy), as well as special dancing sessions with professional dancers from Mazen Kiwan The Academy.

The event is free for all.

PROGRAM DETAILS

In these sessions, you will "Go Green!"
Each session will be running in parallel, the same session will be repeated every 30 minutes. So don't worry, you can attend any session anytime during the day.

PLANTING STATIONS

Station A: Interior plants
• Highlights how to create calm green spaces at home, the various names and types of interior plants available, and how to live with them. From the small to the big, you will learn that some can live with minimal attention.

Station B: Orchids
• Demonstrates Orchid's specific characteristics & attributes, and guides you in choosing the orchid type that best suits your indoors.

Station C: Grow your own food
• Show you how to grow your own fruits, vegetables and herbs in your balcony, rooftop and even on your kitchen top.

Station D: Wise irrigation
• Answers all your questions related to irrigation from the: "When", to the "How", to the "How many times"…

DIY STATIONS

• Kids & Adults Stations will be running in parallel and will consist of 15 min each.
Questions will be answered at the end of each workshop.

• Dancing sessions by Mazen Kiwan The Academy

Professional dancers will guide you through the basics of Salsa and Argentinian Tango during the afternoon.

- Tango show at 5 PM.

- Argentinian Tango session for Beginners and demonstration at 5:45 PM

- Salsa session for Beginners and demonstration at 6:45 PM
