The March Edition of the Berytech Meetups will cover the future of Robotics with expert guest speakers:
Dr. Imad el Hajj will address the role that Robotics is playing as part of what is being called the 4th industrial revolution. What are the opportunities? How does robotics relate to AI, networking, IoT, mobile industry, etc…? Any role for us in Lebanon?
Jad Berro will discuss the practical uses of Robotics, manufacturing techniques, and starting up in that field.
Wissam Youssef will discuss the dilemma of 'fail fast' in robotics and the challenges in early adoption, certifications and manufacturing.
Networking over pizza and drinks will follow!

Abou the Speakers:
Dr. Imad el Hajj
Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at AUB
Imad H. Elhajj is a Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the American University of Beirut. In 2014, he co-founded SAUGO 360 the first startup to be incubated at AUB. Dr. Elhajj is the past chair of IEEE Lebanon Section, senior member of IEEE and senior member of ACM. He is a member of the World Economic Forum Global Agenda Council on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. His research interests include robotics and instrumentation, cyber security, sensor and computer networks, and multimedia networking.
Jad Berro
Founder of Innovo
Jad berro has had a passion for building robots ever since he was a little kid. He studied 2 years of CCE and dropped off university to start his own hardware company, Innovo, and in 2014 he partnered with DNY group. Jad managed to build one of the top labs in the middle east, a lab that houses state of the art machinery that allow for advanced manufacturing techniques and prototyping to be performed in record times right here in Lebanon.
Wissam Youssef
Co-founder and CEO of CME Lebanon
Co-founder and CEO of CMELebanon, a technology consulting firm that provides end to end engineering solutions across hardware and software. Wissam co-founded CME in 2003 with nothing but a small office in Monot and a couple of desks. Wissam’s determination made CME flourish, earning a track record among top US Fortune 500 companies. Today, CME is a multi-national company with 300+ engineers located in Argentina, China, India, Lebanon and the US, implementing groundbreaking IoT solutions with unique engineering capabilities that place CME on top of the Lebanese technology sector.
