Origami 101 by Ghaith Adib

Workshop BDW

A two hours' workshop that will introduce you to the basics of the art of paper folding.

The workshop is by Ghaith ADIB, Origami Artist and Interior Designer, and will consist of:

1. an introduction: Covering the artist's work, a brief history of Origami (Its origin, modern artists' influence, and current applications in other fields), and Origami types (Classic, Tessellation, and modular).

2. How to fold an Origami model: Covering basic folding techniques, how to read a diagram, classic Origami bases, and Crease Patterns and why they are important. This part will be covered while actually folding models of low to medium difficulty, mainly classic.
