Biographies:
Rana El Chemaitelly
Rana El Chemaitelly, holds a BE in Mechanical Engineering 1993, AUB Penrose Award 1993, and Master's in Engineering Management 2008. In 2009 she launched her second venture The Little Engineer®, a Beirut-based Edutainment center geared towards engaging young minds in science, technology, engineering and mathematics through proven hands on learning activities to unleash their full potential in pre-engineering skills while highlighting robotics, renewable energies and latest technologies working in parallel on their leadership and presentation skills. For her initiative and business plan, she was recognized as one of MENA's most promising entrepreneurs by MIT in 2009, awarded the “Coup de Coeur Femme by “Medventures” for the Mediterranean in 2010, selected the woman entrepreneur by the American Embassy to participate in the International Visitor Leadership Program “IVLP” 2011, won the Cartier Women Initiative for the MENA region in 2011 and the Green Mind Award in 2012. In 2013 The little Engineer signed a strategic Partnership with Airbus Middle East to deliver regional workshop for youth. She is working hard to be a voice of change in the Arab World by investing in young minds, our future leaders, preparing them for the challenging future, while at the same time aiming high to empower women in her community, country and around the world.
Nadine El Asmar
A resilient entrepreneur with an international experience of more than 15 years in business strategy, organizational planning, critical thinking, business acumen and trust-based partnerships management, worked in volatile markets, different industries, on different channels of distribution, with multi-cultural teams, collaborators & partners. A founding member and partner of BRD-I Group, Management Consultancy firm, Nadine has acted as the Enterprise’s Partnership Manager. In addition to her role, Nadine has managed a number of projects ranging from political entrepreneurship, Lebanon youth card plan & issuance, capacity building, coaching and consulting for small-to-medium size enterprises, in Lebanon, the Levant.
She is also a coach, lead facilitator & mentor with Mowgli Mentoring program in the MENA region. She has helped NGOs and private companies to establish themselves in Lebanon and build partnership in the region with the private and public sector.
She is a graduate in socio-anthropology and holds a Master's in Business Administration, Marketing focus from the American University of Beirut. She believes in the importance of supporting individuals in building their capacity & bringing a renewed clarity to their purpose to unlock their potential in alignment with their mind, heart & will so that they make a positive change in their life, organizations & environment.
