“Rock Forward” – “The Look Forward Concert”
Who is Sara Khatib?
Sara Khatib passed away on September 5th 2014 at age 22 after a very long and difficult struggle with cancer. Throughout her journey, Sara refused to be defined by her cancer or any of the other obstacles she faced; she refused to be a victim. Despite her deteriorating condition, which eventually led to the amputation of her right arm, Sara faced her struggle with a lot of strength and positivity. In fact she lived her difficult times inspired by the expression “Pain is inevitable, Suffering is optional”. Sara dreamed of having a medium to connect with other cancer patients and amputees, to share experiences and support each other.
This is where the idea of Look Forward comes from.
