Unity 2D Game Dev Workshop
Unity 2D Game Dev Workshop
Ever have trouble keeping up with complicated game development workshops and tutorials? Come to AltCity for the chance to attend a hands-on workshop where you’ll have no trouble creating your first ever game!
In this workshop, you’ll work with the trainer to develop a simple 2D platformer. You’ll easily learn how to make a character run, jump, collect things, and complete a Super Mario Bros style level. The workshop will cover the basics of the Unity user interface, as well as how to take advantage of the software’s online resources to find solutions.
This workshop is targeted at people who have never used Unity before, and who haven’t necessarily coded before either. It’s for super beginners who are interested in making their first game but have no idea how or where to start. If that sounds like you, then come on down!
Register quickly places are limited to 20!
Workshop Fees: 10 $
The only requirement is to have Unity installed prior to the meeting.
About the trainer:
Carl Farra, the trainer is a Game Design masters student at New York University. He’s worked on video games, board games, card games and even toys during his time there, some of which appeared at major festivals such as GDC and IndieCade.
Outside of school work, he’s designing an augmented reality game for the American Museum of Natural History, and interning at local gaming studio Game Cooks.
