Beirut and Beyond came to fruition in 2013 as a yearly showcase festival, one during which the regional musical talent got the chance to promote their art. As a platform for meetings, showcases and exchange, Beirut and Beyond encourages networking and collaboration. It furthermore aims to offer solutions to the urgent needs of the young Arab independent music scene, such as the necessity to provide outlets for its bustling artistic productions.

There is no doubt that Beirut and Beyond underwent a metamorphosis over the years, uplifting and changing its identity and adapting its missions as a response to the ongoing events Lebanon has been suffering from. B&B became an entity that fosters the independent music scene’s infrastructure, catering to its ever-changing needs, locally and regionally, through development programs and capacity-building, to name a few.
