Mise en Abyme
Mise-en-Abyme\mē-zäⁿ-nä-bēm\: The containment of an entity within another identical entity; a formal technique in which an image contains a smaller copy of itself, in a sequence appearing to recur infinitely.
Mise En Abyme is an art management initiative which provides local artists and designers with the necessary tools, projects and venues for a successful and creative starting point. It is the new creative initiative, tailored towards building and strengthening the current art community in Lebanon.
The Collaboration
The Collaborative exhibition is the first chapter of the Mise En Abyme story. It is the centre stage of artistic exposure for up-and-coming artists, and takes an unconventional approach to merging artistic vision and expertise. The Collaborative exhibition is geared towards a concept of unity with an individualistic twist: The theme of the exhibition is chosen by the art manager and each artist is free to interpret the theme through their own artistic style. An exciting venture, showcasing raw and local talent.
Mise En Abyme’s Management
Mise En Abyme’s very own art management initiative. It is setup especially for artists who are ready to unveil their completed projects to the artistic community. This includes the planning of exhibitions, any form of publications and the sponsorship required in shining a direct spotlight on new artists through the support of the Mise En Abyme network.
Cultural Events
Mise En Abyme is the idea of a story within a story and the Cultural Events department will serve to showcase unique community-building stories through exhibitions, screenings and all others genres of thematic medium. Each event produced aims to cater to a wider Lebanese audience, as well as invite the different artists to mingle, either in and out of Lebanon.
Creative Collection
The Creative Collection has a wide range of local talent. Acting as a link between artists/designers and prospective clients, this unique platform will serve as a hub for both artists and clients seeking a specific style of creative work.
