We were mind blown when we read these stats: 45% of Lebanese adults are NOT physically active (Al-Tannir et al. 2009)! Even more concerning is the lifestyle of our Lebanese youth: 86.6% of Lebanese students (13-17 yrs) are NOT physically active (WHO, 2017)! – when compared to recommended guidelines for physical activity.

With a sense of determination and urgency, the Bet and Sweat Challenge was born. SIDC and Miami Fitness Factory teamed up together to address the above alarming facts and support the World Health Organization (WHO) in its aim to reduce physical inactivity worldwide by 10 % in 2025.
